What’s standing between you and a straight smile? For some patients, the primary obstacle is a busy schedule, while for many others it might be the thought of spending years wearing traditional metal braces. But whatever your particular obstacle, there’s good news: you don’t have to spend months wearing traditional metal braces to have straight, beautiful teeth. With Invisalign®, Dr. King and our Fort Worth dental team can help you achieve your goals discreetly. In fact, most people won’t even notice the clear aligners, so give us a call to schedule your consultation!
Instead of using metal brackets and wires to move teeth, Invisalign uses a series of clear, custom-made trays. Each tray in your treatment kit will be designed to play a specific role in the treatment process. As you go through treatment, you’ll wear each tray for about two weeks with each set bringing you closer to your goal of a more beautiful smile. Just make sure that you’re wearing the aligners for at least 22 hours per day to maintain results. Treatment with Invisalign often takes between 12-18 months to complete, but it requires fewer office visits overall. We’ll only need to see you once every four to six weeks to check your progress.
Invisalign is a great service for patients with mild to moderate alignment issues. Take a moment to look over the most common issues Invisalign can resolve.
Crowded teeth only become more difficult to clean as more pockets appear for food debris and bacteria to get stuck in. By straightening your teeth, you remove these pockets and reduce your risk for tooth decay and gum disease while improving your smile’s appearance.
If you don’t like the gaps in your smile, especially if you have a gap between your two front teeth, Invisalign addresses these issues very effectively. Furthermore, you’ll reduce your risk for dental disease with fewer gaps in your smile.
If you have an overbite, underbite, crossbite or open bite, Invisalign may be right for you! Since uneven bites put undue stress on your jaw joint, treating it now works to prevent jaw clenching, teeth grinding, and accelerated wear and tear of your tooth enamel.
Treatment with Invisalign comes with a range of great benefits. The most obvious benefit is that your trays are clear; no one but Dr. King will ever have to know you’re wearing them.
What’s more, your Invisalign trays are removable. With traditional braces, keeping your smile clean can be difficult because food can become trapped around your brackets and wires. But because you can remove your Invisalign trays, you can brush as thoroughly as you normally would. As a result, you can continue to eat the same foods you enjoyed before starting treatment. You can also remove your trays to brush and floss, which will help you keep your smile cleaner.
Every Invisalign patient’s treatment is unique, so the cost of treatment can largely vary depending on your needs. Additionally, those who do not wear their aligners for long enough may experience hiccups or even relapses in treatment, which is partially why we ask you to come in for routine appointments to confirm the status of your smile. To know how much your treatment will cost, you’ll need to come in for a consultation to confirm your eligibility for Invisalign as well as go over your payment options. Keep in mind that while the short-term costs can be high now, the results are long-term and have the potential to last a lifetime.
If you want to know if you’re a good candidate for Invisalign, see Dr. King for a consultation. She would be happy to assess your needs and talk to you about your treatment options. We're proud to serve patients of all ages from Fort Worth, Haltom City, Burleson, North Richland Hills, Benbrook, and all surrounding communities.
