To make sure that you heal properly following a wisdom tooth extraction, it’s important that you follow our instructions. Some of these include the following:
- Keep clean gauze on the surgical site for a few hours after the procedure until the bleeding stops and allow a blood clot to form.
- Get plenty of rest for a couple of days.
- Eat soft foods and avoid using a straw for at least 48 hours.
- Do not smoke or use tobacco products for at least 48 hours.
